25 Week Bump Date via Simply-nicole.com

Happy Monday! Another week of pregnancy down, as today marks the start of week 25. I always felt pregnant {even in the early stages when baby was the size of a poppy seed}, but this week I really noticed myself slowing down a bit more. My bump is getting bigger by the day it seems, and that makes me so happy. It means that baby is growing and we’re that much closer to meeting her. I’ll get into all the aches and pains, sleeping issues and more in this week’s bump date below. Enjoy!

25 Week Bump Date

Baby is the Size of a: cabbage {approximately 14 inches long and 1.9 pounds}

Gender: Girl!

Names: Keeping it a secret.

What I’m Wearing: I don’t shop that often, so I’m wearing a lot of the same maternity items I’ve referenced in previous bump dates – boring, I know. Even though maternity clothes are really comfy, I like putting on PJs as soon as I get home every day. I’m pretty much living in large t-shirts and these Gilligan & O’Malley sleep pants {non-maternity!} from Target. I have a couple of pairs in different colors, but am considering buying more because they are so incredibly soft. They fit true to size, but I recommend going up a size if you’re pregnant. You’ll be so much more comfortable.

How I’m Feeling: I went to a work conference last week and think I picked up some sort of stomach bug, because I felt like crap Thursday – Saturday. Luckily, I’m feeling a bit better now, but it was a rough few days. Aside from an upset stomach, I’m having a lot more back aches lately. But from what everyone tells me… the back aches only continue during the third trimester. I’m thinking that I’ll be getting a prenatal massage sooner rather than later.

Cravings: Ginger ale, pumpkin muffins, lemonade and honeycrisp apples

Aversions: None.

Best Moment this Week: Since becoming pregnant, I’ve learned to celebrate even the smallest wins. This week’s small win was FINALLY ordering a bunch of stuff for the nursery. If you’ve been following along on my bump dates, you know that I’ve talked about placing an order on Wayfair for weeks now. I’ve had all of the larger furniture for over a month, but it was the smaller items that I’ve been debating back and forth. This weekend, I finally sat down and decided on some products, and I’m super excited for them to come in. I bought this floor lamp, this vintage-inspired curtain rod, off-white velvet blackout curtains, and a white end table. I plan on doing a nursery reveal sometime in late December/early January, so keep an eye out for that.

Sleeping: I think I’m getting a small dose of restless leg syndrome {RLS} at night. If you’ve never heard of this, RLS occurs when you have an uncontrollable urge to move your legs to relieve a tingling sensation. It’s pretty common during the last half of pregnancy. Apparently, you can lessen RLS by stretching before bed or massaging your leg muscles, so I’m going to try that this week and see if it helps. Other than that, I’m sleeping fine for now. I’ve been more strict with my bedtime during the work week, because I find that it’s really hard for me to focus for an entire day if I don’t get at least 8 hours of sleep the night before.

Rings: On!

Baby Movement: Baby girl has been moving around A LOT. Bryan hasn’t been able to feel her when she kicks. so I’ve been taking videos of my stomach so I can show him that she’s in fact moving around. I was able to get a really great video that I saved to our iCloud so I can watch it whenever. Haha, I’m crazy.

Labor Signs: Thankfully none. Baby needs to stay put for a while.

Looking Forward to: Seeing all of my family and friends at my baby shower in a few weeks. I can’t believe it’s coming up so quickly!
