ALO Drink

Back in October, Bry and I went to the Philadelphia Food, Wine, and Spirits Festival in Valley Forge, PA.  There was obviously an abundance of amazing independent food companies and local vineyards.  The most memorable company was Natural Wayz Wholesale.  I was intrigued about their ALO Drinks and retail locations, so I spoke with one of the owners while visiting their booth and she gave me her contact information.  A few days after the show, I send her over an email about my blog and how I thought her products would be well liked in the foodie community.

What are ALO Drinks?

The website states that, “ALO Drink is an all natural beverage made with real aloe vera pulp and juice straight from the aloe vera leaf, not reconstituted from powder.  These drinks are made from only and the best all natural ingredients.  Never using artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives; nor do they add gellan gum, xantham gum, thickeners, or emulsifiers as some others do.  The manufacturing process yields larger chunks of real aloe pulp than any other aloe vera drink in the market.”

Flavors:
Exposed- Original flavor, aloe vera & honey
Allure- Aloe vera, mangosteen & mango
Enliven- Aloe vera with 12 fruits and vegetables
Enrich- Aloe vera with pomegranate & cranberry
Awake- Aloe vera with wheatgrass
Appeal- Aloe vera with pomelo, grapefruit & lemon
Elated- Aloe vera with olive leaf & green tea
Escape- Aloe vera with pineapple, guava, sea-buckthorn berry

The company was kind enough to send me a bottle of each flavor.  My favorite flavor is the Exposed– the original.  It’s very hard to explain the taste of these drinks.  You just have to try the drinks yourself.  They are rather interesting, because you eat little pieces of aloe while you are taking sips.  Very interesting!  The drinks are both refreshing and energizing.

Why aloe vera?

  1. Promotes a healthy digestive system
  2. Helps absorption of Vitamin E & C
