Friday Favorites Simply Nicole

Happy Friday! I’m so excited for this weekend because tomorrow I’m having lunch with my friend Lauren and her baby, and then on Sunday I have the whole day to just veg out and watch Netflix. Don’t you love weekends like these?

Today’s Friday Favorites is pretty random, but I think you’ll enjoy anyway. I’m talking about flowers, a Netflix documentary, cheese, and a new hair cut. Enjoy!

proflowers valentine's day

1. Roses

As much as I love flowers, I almost never buy them for myself. So when ProFlowers wanted to send me some, I couldn’t say no. They ended up being so much more gorgeous then I had imagined – three-dozen long stem red roses! I only endorse a product or company that I’ve had a good experience with personally. I’ve had these flowers for a few days now and they still look amazing. If you’re looking for a gift for yourself or a loved one for Valentine’s Day (or really any day), I highly recommend at least checking out ProFlowers. They have some great deals going on right now too.

2. Dear Zachary

If you do one thing this weekend, you have to watch the documentary, Dear Zachary, on Netflix. Don’t read too much about the movie or you’ll ruin it for yourself. In short, it’s a true crime documentary about a guy’s journey to memorialize his murdered best friend. I learned about the movie from an article listing the best documentaries on Netflix. It seemed interesting, so Bryan and I watched it last weekend. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to punch the TV. I mostly cried. Even Bryan was upset by it. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, so PLEASE watch it. You won’t regret it. I promise.

The Gables at Chadds Ford Cheese Plate

3. Cheese Plate at The Gables

Whenever Bryan and I visit The Gables at Chadds Ford, we order a large cheese plate as our appetizer. It’s my favorite cheese plate of all time. It has a variety of hard and soft cheeses, figs, olives, baked diced apples, nuts, bread, jam, and an Australian fruit whose name is escaping me. I wish I was able to eat that cheese plate every single day. I’ll be doing a post next week about our full experience at the restaurant, so keep an eye out for that.

Prive Salon and Style Bar Review

4. New Hair Cut

I got my hair cut last weekend at my favorite spot, Prive Salon & Style Bar. It was long overdue. After my hair gets to a certain length, it starts looking straggly. I asked for a blunt cut, long bob, that hits right at my collar bone. I showed my stylist Zoe photos of my fav gals, Julianne Hough and Jessica Alba, for inspiration. It turned out great and I love it so much! If you’re in the Philly suburbs and looking for a new stylist, I highly recommend visiting Zoe at Prive Salon. She’s so talented, and her cut/blow dry is really affordable at just $55. I’ve already booked my next appointment for my friend Bridgett’s wedding.
