TGIF, my friends. I am so excited it’s finally Friday, because I’ve got some fun stuff planned this weekend. Saturday is my sister’s birthday, so we are going to tailgate the Phillies game. The weather is supposed to be 60 and sunny, so it should be a really nice time. Afterward, we might go to this sports bar and just hang out for a bit. Even though we live only 30-40 minutes from Philly, I don’t get into the city too often. So when I have solid plans like these, I jump on them. I don’t have any real plans yet for Sunday, but laundry and cleaning is always on the schedule.

Talking about schedules… would anyone be interested in hearing about how I plan our my weeks/days? I’ll talk about apps, paper planners, notebooks, etc.  I personally love learning tips and tricks from other people on how they schedule out their time, so I think it could be a fun post to write. Let me know in the comments below, or on Twitter.

Alright, let’s get into my Friday Favorites for this week.

1. Big Little Lies

I’ve been watching so much TV lately. I just finished up Big Little Lies and it was amazing. Don’t worry, this is a NO SPOILER zone. But for real you guys… you’ve got to watch this show. All 7 episodes are on HBOGo, and I personally marathoned them all in like one week. The show is that good. It’s about these affluent women who live seemingly perfect lives on the surface. In reality, each one of them have their troubles – some worse than others.

The show is based on the book of the same name, but I didn’t read the book so I was shocked after each episode! I’ve watched movies with Nicole Kidman in the past, but this show gave me a huge new appreciation for her. Also, the houses they shoot in are breathtaking. Definite home goals. Go watch. You won’t be disappointed.

Halo Top Review

2. Halo Top

I’ve been seeing Halo Top all over Instagram and blogs for about a year now, so I know that I’m incredibly late to the game on this one. Halo Top is a healthier version of ice cream. It’s made from cow’s milk {sorry vegans}, but has no synthetic growth hormones or nasty artificial sweeteners. It’s high in protein at 24g per pint, and is low sugar, low carb and low fat. Plus, it’s gluten free.

I bought a pint of the Birthday Cake flavor at Whole Foods recently, and finished it in 2 sittings – but it’s all good because the ENTIRE pint is only 280 calories. I’ve legit told so many people about it. It’s definitely a favorite for this week and will be a favorite probably forever – especially in the summer! I’m dying to try the mint choc chip next.

3. Peppermint Spray

You all know how much I love essential oils. Peppermint oil is one of my all-time favs. It’s great for headaches, muscle tension, relaxation and so much more {read my post here all about it}. Recently, I’ve started using a peppermint SPRAY before bed, and it’s now one of my favorite parts of my nighttime routine. It really relaxes me after a long, sometimes stressful day. You know? It’s also great if you’re feeling congested, because it can open your sinuses and help you breathe a bit better.

All you have to do is just spritz it over your face or pillow before bed. This is the one I own, but this version on Amazon is just as good {I actually have the lavender spray from the same brand!}.

Flint portable lint roller

4. Portable Lint Roller

I received a Flint lint roller in a subscription box a few months back, and I’ve been a huge fan ever since. Pete doesn’t shed too much at all, but in the fall and spring I find more little dog hairs on my clothes, so a lint roller is essential.

You know how normal lint rollers have a paper covering that’s supposed to protect the sticky sheets? If so, then you know how absolutely annoying it is to keep on the package. Even if you tape it down, it eventually comes off. This cute one from Flint is a bit more high tech than your average lint roller, because it’s retractable! The roller rises and lowers {kind of like lipstick}, to prevent the adhesive from sticking to unwanted items in your bag. The Flint roller is also eco-friendly because it’s reusable and refillable! I carry mine in my purse almost every single day. It’s become one of my daily essentials.
