I haven’t done a Friday Favorites in a while now, so I figure it was time. If you’re unfamiliar with this series on my blog, it’s where I share my favorite things from the past week. Most, if not all, the photos are taken with my iPhone. If you’re interested in reading some of my past Friday Favorites, you can check those out here

1. Whole Foods Cooking Classes. Bryan and I have been going to cooking classes at our local Whole Foods pretty regularly now. This past Wednesday, we learned how to make a delicious Caesar salad with homemade dressing, pasta puttanesca, and blood orange sorbet. Everything was so delicious. I’m not sure I ever tasted anchovies before Wednesday, but I’m a fan as long as they are mushed up. I’m looking forward to the next cooking class which will teach us how to make a vegetarian quinoa chili and vegan chocolate spice ice cream.

2. A Clean Pup. I love when Pete is nice and clean, because his hair gets super soft. As much as he hates baths, I try to give him one at least 1 or 2 times per month. He’s hilarious in the bath because he whimpers the entire time and looks at me with his sad puppy eyes.

3. Green Juice. Green juice is always a favorite, but  this week I took out my juicer and made my own for the first time in a few months. This energizing green juice had three huge  handfuls of spinach, one romaine heart, two apples, one orange, half a lemon and 1/2 inch ginger. Oh my it was delicious! I can’t wait to make more this weekend.

4. Catching Up on Reading. So I haven’t read any of my book for this month’s book club but I have been reading lots of magazines and e-books lately. I’ve been loving the Real Simple magazine because they provide a great mix of content from home decor and organization to style and beauty tips. I’m very grateful that my mother-in-law gives me her old issues once she’s done with them.
