Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone! I can’t believe the weekend is almost here. After a crazy long and busy week, I really need two days of relaxation. For once, I don’t have too much planned aside from blog work, but I can do that while wearing pjs and sitting on my couch. I signed a few amazing sponsorship contracts this week, so be on the lookout for some exciting posts (and giveaways!) in the near future. But until then, let’s get into my Friday Favorites!

Friday Favorites

1. Getting Blood Work Done. Oh man. Where do I even start with this. I’m so happy to finally find a doctor that is working to find the root cause of my illnesses, so I was glad to get blood work done this week. If only it was easy! I made an appointment for Monday morning and when I got there, the lab technician couldn’t figure out one of the tests that my doctor requested. Thus, I had to get the bulk of the blood work done (7 tubes!) and then drive back out to my doctor’s office on Wednesday to pick up a new blood slip. Yesterday, I went back to the lab during my lunch break to get the last test done. It was a very busy week!

2. Ancient Harvest Quinoa Penne. I usually have pasta at least once a week, maybe more, so my heart dropped when my doctor told me to go gluten free. I was walking around the grocery store this past weekend and picked up this box of quinoa penne on a whim and I’m so glad that I did! In my opinion, it tasted just as delicious as my go-to wheat pasta. Bryan had some too and he really enjoyed it. We had it with tomato sauce and broccoli (Bryan added cheese and chicken). I will definitely be purchasing another box!

3. Decor with Meaning. I’m really picky when it comes to home decor. I either love something or I hate it. There’s usually no in-between for me. When I came across the embroidered state pillows from Cat Studio, I knew I had to own one. I reached out to the company and told them how much I loved their products, and they graciously gifted me the Pennsylvania pillow. Each pillow is embroidered by hand on 100% organic cotton and takes over 40 hours to make. Bryan and I love to travel and we’ve driven all over Pennsylvania, so this pillow means a lot to us.

4. Nourishing My Dry Skin. My dry winter skin is still lingering, so I’ve added more products into my nighttime routine to make sure I’m nourishing it. I am LOVING my papaya and coconut lotion that I mentioned in my Vitacost Haul post. It smells so good and I look forward to using it every night after I shower. Another product I’m loving right now is this the Skin Calming & Moisturizing Cream from JustNatural Skin Care. The company sent me this product to try out and I am so glad that they did! I use it once or twice a week because it’s much thicker than the papaya and coconut lotion. It’s wonderful when your skin needs a little something extra. It’s made with all natural and organic ingredients and has no chemicals.

Thanks so much for reading my post today!

I love that PA pillow so much!! Ahh I love living in Nebraska but I miss PA!

Hi Rebecca! Unfortunately Vitacost does not. I also REALLY love the Acne spot treatment from JustNatural. It’s an oil. I use it every night all over my face before bed.

Does VitaCost sell JustNatural products? I’ve been looking at their site for hours! Are there any other products on their site that came professionally recommended? I’m curious!!
