FRIDAY FAVS

Wahoo! Friday has arrived. Thank god. I can’t wait to sleep in until whenever, and take afternoon naps while watching tv. Can you tell I need lots of sleep? I’m not even sure how I functioned this week, especially since I didn’t have any coffee! Needless to say, I made it through this work week and can’t wait for some rest and relaxation. In the meantime, let’s take a look at my Friday Favorites!

1. Going Gluten Free. Since going gluten free a week or so ago, I’ve had the opportunity to try foods like quinoa pasta and vegan/GF snickerdoodles! Most of the foods I’ve tried so far have been pretty great. If anyone is interested, I might do a post highlighting my favorite finds. Comment below and let me know!

2. Indian Cooking Class at Whole Foods. This week, we learned how to make vegetable biryani and a super delicious vegan chai ice cream. The room where the cooking class was held smelled absolutely amazing while the biryani was cooking. I told Bryan that I wished I had a candle that smelled just like it. The vegan chai was just as amazing. Brandon, the chef, used cashews and almonds as a base and added agave nectar and frozen chai to make the most creamy ice cream ever. Side note: Check out that purple cauliflower! It tasted exactly like a normal cauliflower, but it would be awesome in a bright and colorful salad.

3. Dainty Jewelry. I’ve been really loving minimal jewelry recently, and I can’t wait to purchase two items on my wishlist – the Eternal Cloud ring from Pandora and the “n” alphabet ring from Cat Bird Jewelry. Both are fairy inexpensive and would be great to add to my jewelry collection. I’m picky when it comes to jewelry and accessories in general, so when I find something I love, I’m all about just purchasing it. Maybe I’ll wait until after my wedding anniversary in case Bryan wants to get one for me {hint, hint!}.

4. A Healthy Pup. Last Friday, Pete wasn’t feeling great so I had to take him to the ER vet. Luckily, it was nothing serious and he was given some medication to fix the issue. I’m so grateful to have Pete and I was completely heartbroken when I knew he was sick. He’s feeling a bit better than last week and that’s all that matters. I snapped the photograph above when he was napping last weekend. The medication made him really sleepy, but that allowed for a few hours of quiet time for me!

Thanks so much for reading my post today!

I love dainty jewelery! I’m glad Pete is feeling better!

My favorites from this week is finally getting some painting finished and discovering a delicious Thai place near our place! We ordered from them twice this week haha.

I hardly ever wear jewelry but when I do I go for something kinda funky and bright or stick with silver.
