FFJAN8Good morning! Thank God it’s Friday. I need to catch up on sleep this weekend. For the past few nights, I felt like I didn’t get a great sleep. Tossing and turning happened a lot this week. I also think I might be coming down with a cold, so I’m trying my hardest not to get sick – first step: GET SLEEP. Second step: Drink lots of hot tea with honey and lemon. Third step: Add ginger to my green smoothies (which I’ll be doing today!).

Although I’m starting to feel under the weather, let’s celebrate my Friday Favorites from the past week!

Nutribullet

1. NutriBullet

Aside from my engagement ring, the NutriBullet is probably my favorite present I’ve ever received from Bryan. I’ve been making green smoothies almost every day since Christmas. I love that I’m able to make my smoothie, take it off the NutriBullet, put a lid on the cup and go! There’s no cleaning involved – except for the cup when I’m done drinking it! My NutriBullet is changing my life and I can’t wait to share even more delicious smoothie recipes this year with you.

whole foods chai latte

2. Spicy Chai Lattes

I went to Whole Foods last night and picked up a vanilla almond milk chai latte. Sometimes if you get a chai tea latte, you get an almost too sweet, syrupy tasting drink. The version I had last night was the complete opposite of that. Holy cow! It was an extra spicy chai and I loved every second of it. It had some KICK. Side note: Whole Foods’ cafe doesn’t charge extra for milk alternatives like hemp, almond, soy and coconut milks. Thank you.

3. Huge Salads

I typically eat a salad every day for lunch during the work week, but I’ve now also been trying out new veggie combinations on the weekends. Last weekend, I made a huge salad with romaine, spinach, avocado, cucumber,  carrots, black beans, corn, chia seeds and vegetarian “bacon” (not pictured). I topped it with a great Italian dressing, but I also love making my own (lots of lemon juice, olive oil, and crushed red pepper).

4. Tory Burch Makeup Case

If you sign up for Tory Burch’s emails, they send you a $50 gift card during your birthday month. It’s great because you don’t have to spend a minimum amount. It’s literally free money. In past years, I’ve used the gift card to get a new iPhone cover and a leather card case (similar). This year I bought a new makeup case and I couldn’t be more happy with the quality. It’s actually a bit larger than I was expecting too! I don’t see it on the Tory website anymore, but I found it for you at Bloomingdales if you’re interested.
