Good morning readers! Goodness gracious. Friday, I thought you’d never come, but boy am I glad to see you. This week wasn’t too bad overall, but I’ve had a headache almost every day. I’m not sure if I’m lacking sleep or what, but it needs to go away. Which reminds me… over the next few weeks, I’m going to be putting together a more holistic medicine bin for Bryan and me. We have a lot of expired cold and flu medicine anyway, so it’s a great time to start fresh with more natural remedies. I can’t wait to share it with you all! Comment below and let me know your favorites.

Here are my favorites from the past week.

dark places gillian flynn

1. Dark Places

I bought the book Dark Places by Gillian Flynn back in October, and finally finished it this week. I’m not sure how I feel about the ending {I’m not going to ruin it}, but overall I think it was a solid book – just not as great as Gone Girl. Dark Places had some slow parts, but the last quarter was SO good. I stayed up late many nights this week reading it. I plan to rent the movie version on RedBox this weekend. Although I’ve read articles that said the casting was a bit off, I’m still excited to see how the plot plays out on film.

Burts Bees lip balm

2. Burt’s Bees

I’ve never been a huge fan of Burt’s Bees. It’s probably because I don’t really enjoy the smell of honey. This season, oddly enough, I’m absolutely loving their products. I don’t know why, but I keep buying more and more. My favorites right now are the Coconut & Pear and Pomegranate lip balms and the Milk & Honey hand cream.  I keep them with me at all times. Side note: there’s even a Burt’s Bees documentary on Netflix. I think I saw it a while ago, but I’m going to re-watch it this weekend!

f. Scott Fitzgerald quote

3. F. Scott Fitzgerald Quote

I was in college when I first heard the quote above, and I knew it would be a favorite forever. It was featured in the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which was based off the short story of the same name written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I came home from the movie theater and wrote that quote every where. It’s such a powerful quote, and one that I think can relate to every single person and situation. It could be about your career, spiritual journey, relationships, etc.

dunkin

4. Dunkin Donuts Coffee

Okay, so this isn’t a new favorite by any means, but I’ve been loving Dunkin Donuts coffee this week. I’m drinking a cup of it now actually! It’s not my all time favorite coffee, but it does the trick. In case you’re wondering, I also love Lavazza’s Gran Selezone and The Organic Coffee Company’s Java Love
