holiday gift guide for men

Hi hi! Happy Sunday. I haven’t published a post on the weekend in quite some time, but I was too excited to wait until next week to share this gift guide with you.

If you’re anything like me, you wait until the last minute to buy your husband/boyfriend/etc. a gift for the holidays. Waiting doesn’t always work in my favor since stuff sells out quickly, so this year I’m trying to shop early. I know the struggle though. It’s hard shopping for guys. What do they really need?! Well, today Bryan helped me pull together some great gifts for the guy in your life. Yes, these are GUY-APPROVED!

I figured it would be fun to have Bryan write the rest of this post, so you can get suggestions straight from him. Leave us a comment below (or tweet @nicoleraudonis) if you end up buying anything he recommended!

1. JBL Flip 4: This speaker is super convenient, because you can move it throughout your house. It’s bluetooth enabled, so you can play music from whatever app you want – Spotify, Apple Music, iHeart Radio, etc. I like that it’s from a trusted brand, it provides great sound, and is significantly more affordable than some other wireless options out there.

2. Charging station for PS4 controllers: If you have PS4, this thing is an essential. It’s on my own wishlist this year for good reason. Since my controllers sit on top of my console, they constantly fall on the the ground. Having a docking station will make our entertainment unit a bit more organized, which will make Nicole really happy.

3. YETI Colster: My parents have these at their house, so I’ve used them a ton of times over the summer. It honestly keeps cans and bottles cold for hours at a time even in the hot sun. After using many different types of coozies, this one is absolutely the best and worth the price.

4. Rhone Basecamp Sweatpants: Rhone is one of my favorite brands. I have a bunch of their products, so when they wanted to send me a pair of their new sweats, I jumped on the opportunity. They actually aren’t made from sweat pant material {they are polyester and spandex}, which makes them a lot more versatile. You can wear them to the gym or to just run errands.

5. Netflix Gift Card: Everyone knows how great Netflix is, so I won’t talk too much about it. It’s a nice gift for someone even if they already have it. You can add whatever amount you want to the e-gift card and the person can apply it to their account after their current subscription ends.

6. YETI Rambler: The Rambler in sea foam green is on Nicole’s wishlist this year, but it comes in black or stainless steel too. The Rambler works just like the Colster. It keeps drinks cold or hot for hours, so it’s the perfect gift for the guy on the go. It’s also dishwasher safe and shatter resistant!

7. Cole Haan Washington Grand Gloves: I’ve had a pair of $30 leather gloves for years and they’ve worked well, but they’ve never kept my hands as warm as they should be. I’ve been on the hunt for a new pair for a while and have done a lot of research to find this pair. After reading rave reviews about them, I decided to add them to my own wishlist this year. They are on the pricey side, but if you sign up for Cole Haan emails, you’ll get 15% off.

8. SwissGear Backpack: I’ve owned a similar SwissGear bag for a number of years and have used it more times than I can count. It’s a great overnight bag for the guy in your life, because it’s big enough to fit clothes, toiletries and his laptop. He can also use it as a carry-on during flights if he travels a lot.

9. Rhone Sentry T-Shirt: I’m really picky in terms of t-shirts. They have to be comfortable, easy to wash, and lightweight. Sure, I’ve got a bunch of freebie shirts from random events that I sleep in, but when I’m looking for one to wear out… I always grab the Sentry top from Rhone. I have a few and wear them all the time, so I had to include it in this gift guide. This shirt is lightweight and moisture-wicking, so your guy can wear it by itself or as a base layer under a pullover.

10. Hamilton Beach Countertop Grill: Nicole bought me this last year for Christmas, and it’s one of our most used appliances. Since we live in an apartment complex, we aren’t allowed to have an outdoor grill. This countertop version works just as well and is actually easier to clean. All the pieces come off and can be thrown right into the dishwasher.

11. Timberland Waterproof Boots: Timberland boots are a staple item for any guy’s closet, especially the waterproof version. They are a great work boot that he’ll have for years and years.

12. North Face Wool Beanie: If your guy lives in a colder climate, a high quality beanie is essential in the winter months. This one from North Face is only $50 and is a wool/cashmere blend so it’s going to be really soft. You can buy North Face from different places online, but I linked Nordstrom because they always have free shipping.

13. Oakley “Holbrook” Polarized Sunglasses: This is another item I can’t live without. I first tried these on a few years ago during a trip to San Diego, and Nicole surprised me with them for Christmas when we got back. I highly recommend you pick up these or any Oakley sunglasses for your guy. The quality can’t be beat.

14. Ugg Scuff Slippers: Although I’m not a slipper guy, I know a lot of people who love wearing them around the house. This Ugg version will last at least two years and will keep his feet warm all winter.

15. Five-Piece Decanter Set: I love this set from Cathy’s Concepts because it comes with a decanter and four whiskey glasses. You can add a personal touch by getting it engraved with your guy’s first or last initial.

16. Fitbit “Charge 2”: As you probably already know, Fitbits are a lot of fun for tracking your health. I wear mine almost every day because my work has contests all the time for most steps, most activity, etc. I prefer the Fitbit over the Apple Watch because it’s a lot less bulky. The Charge 2 not only tracks steps and calories, but also has heart rate monitoring. If your guy doesn’t already have a fitness band, definitely buy him this one!
