Koziar’s Christmas Village

Tonight Bry & I got in his car and drove (what was supposed to be)  1 hour 45 minutes to Koziar’s Christmas Village.  The drive wasn’t actually that bad… until we got to 5 miles until our destination.  Bumper to bumper traffic for 5+ miles.  We were about 5 miles away and it was already 7:00.  The village closed at 9:30, so I was giving up hope as we weren’t moving very quickly.  We didn’t get to the place until 8:30, but boy did we get excited when we drove over the hill and saw this:

Check out all of those lights!

Koziar’s Christmas Village has been in business for 63 years, and has been named the Best Outdoor Christmas Display in the WORLD by Display World Magazine. The one thing on my mind the entire time we were there was, “I wonder how much their electric bill is”!

Lots of decorated trees

Along with many trees and wreaths, there were countless little houses/huts that were decorated with different themes. For example, there was a firehouse, Santa’s Post Office, and the Reading Railroad.

Some of the huts you could actually walk in.

There were a lot of people holding hot chocolate and hot apple cider, but once we found the hut with the refreshments (& enormous line) we were bitter cold. Thus, we decided to pass on the hot chocolate and just head home.

It took us about 35 minutes to walk through the entire place, but we rushed through a lot of the huts because it was so cold! Koziar’s is such a great place for children as there were many opportunities for children to take pictures and visit Santa.

Although it was SUCH a fun trip, we don’t need to go more than once. We would rather find new places to visit during the holidays instead of the same place each year. That keeps things fresh and new!

Have you ever been to a similar place?
If so, where? I’d love to visit if its in the Philadelphia area!
