Pumpkin Guts

Happy Halloween everyone.  When I woke up this morning I thought it was a national holiday.  Let me explain.  On most days Bry gets up first.  It doesn’t matter what day it is.  So, this morning I just assumed it was a day that he didn’t have to go into work.  Common, Halloween?!  I don’t know what I was thinking.  I rolled over and told him that I was sorry but I wanted to sleep a little bit longer today.  He replied, “I wish I could go back to bed, but I have to go to work.”  Bummed me out.  Oh well.

On a happier note, I can’t believe I didn’t post this on Saturday but on my Friday run I beat my PR for the 5K.  I’m a running machine these days.  Here are the stats.

Duration: 26min 14sec
Distance: 5K

Splits:
1KM- 4:50
2KM- 5:27
3KM- 5:22
4KM- 5:33
5KM- 4:58

Last night, Bry’s sister and fiance came over for dinner.  We were very grateful that they brought over not just the last Harry Potter movie, but also cake and cupcake samples that they are using for their wedding!  Delicious.  After dinner, Bry and I finally got around to carving our pumpkin.  We purchased it almost 3 weeks ago, but never felt like carving it.  Bry didn’t actually carve it.  I let him do all the dirty work.  (scooping out the pumpkin guts!)

he's working hard.

After Bry was finished with the guts and the seeds, the artist went to work. HAHA. I picked the easiest design in the booklet, because I wanted to watch Harry Potter. I’ll have to take some photos tonight when the pumpkin is all lit up. Trust me, it’s nothing special… but it’s special to me =)

never too early for holiday socks
it takes a lot of concentration.

Did any of you carve pumpkins this year?
