I’m Speaking at The Blog Connect Conference!

March 20, 2017

Hey guys. Guess what? I’m speaking at a blog conference! The Blog Connect (TBC), to be more specific.

You may remember my recap posts from last year’s conference. It was an absolute blast. It was such a fun time to connect with other local bloggers and chat about all things blogging and biz. So when I was chosen as a panelist for this year’s conference, I was BEYOND excited.

Here’s what this year has to offer {via TBC website}:

“This year we are thrilled to come together and learn how to Blog It Better. Our Keynote Speaker, Sarah Morgan, is queen of maximizing your efforts. She helps empower bloggers to maximize their content and better understand their value. This year’s goal is to help you do what you do, better. Work smart not hard, right?

Last year, The Blog Connect brought together 60 bloggers and tons of sponsors to create a blog learning experience. What unified us was our a passion for the side hustle, making our blogs the best they can be, and a love of meeting new blogger friends irl – it was all about Making It Count.

This year’s conference is expanding, and will kick-off with a launch party Saturday evening as an opportunity for attendees and speakers to get to know each other. Sunday will be a day of speakers, networking, eating, and coffee. This conference is made for anybody who has started a blog and is ready to take the next step and make it better – Blog It Better!”

The panel that I’m on is all about working with brands, a topic that I know many of you fellow bloggers are interested in. I’ll be sharing my perspective on finding brands to collaborate with, how to reach out to the correct contact, creating engaging partnerships, when to say “no”, being professional, and asking for what you’re worth.

If you’ve ever talked with me about blogging, you know that I’m super passionate about brand collaborations. I could go on and on and on about it. Maybe it’s because I’ve worked on both ends of the deal {as a publicist and as a blogger}… but I firmly believe that partnerships can make or break your blog. How you create high-quality, engaging and AUTHENTIC content that is beneficial to you, the brand, and your readers is SO important.

I’ll be joined on the panel with Amber from ember + march, Erica from Coming Up Roses, and Jeff from My Philly Alive. I think that we all have something different to bring to the table, so it should be really interesting. I can’t wait to hear their thoughts on the topic!
