Weekend Recap (11/15- 11/17)

Happy Monday, readers.  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.  Here are some clips from my weekend.  Overall it was pretty great.  I had time to go out with my friends and family, but also had a lot of time to just relax.  Isn’t that what weekends are for?!

On Friday afternoon, I met up with my friend Danica for a Starbucks/Target date.  I had my first Salted Caramel Mocha and I can’t believe I waited this long to try it.  I actually prefer it over the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, because it’s not as heavy.  Now go out and buy one.  You won’t regret it.  After Starbucks, we walked around Target for over an hour.  It’s funny how Target can suck you in like that.

Danica bought me this adorable mug I’d be eyeing for a while.  How cute is this?!

I have a question for you guys.  Has anyone ever seen a coffee CUP that has an open handle like the travel mug in the photo above?  Bryan and I have been trying to find one for a while now, but can’t find one.  Let me know in the comments if you have!  We’d greatly appreciate it.

On Friday night, Bryan and I met up with our friends Lauren and Mike.  We went to Fox and Hound for dinner and drinks.  It was my first time at the restaurant/bar and I was pleasantly surprised.  Our service wasn’t the best, but our drinks and food were really good.  I ordered two margaritas and a flat bread with cheese and jalapenos.  DELICIOUS!

On Saturday, we drove down to Bryan’s sister’s house to watch her dog Moose.  We watched him last weekend, as you may remember from this post.  He’s so cute.  We took a pretty decent nap while Bryan watched Iron Man 3.

On Sunday morning, we had breakfast with Bryan’s parents and walked around Home Depot and Best Buy for a little bit.  We also picked up the flannel snowflake sheets that his mom bought us.  Just a note:  THESE SHEETS ARE THE BEST.  We slept on them last night.  It feels like I was sleeping on one large cotton ball.  Amazing.

When we got home from breakfast on Sunday, we napped for a little bit, watched TV and then I had my first cup of tea in the fat Santa mug!  Another note: there is a LOT of holiday in the photo below Smile .

I love that Santa mug, so cute!

This past weekend I ran the Philly half and ate a lot of food. My favorite thing for breakfast was probably the omelet with turkey sausage, peppers, onions, and cheese I had after my race. It was phenomenal. Omelets are my jam, even though I suck at making them.

I had fun during the philly half last year. Although I thought it would be a much better 10K course.

The only part of the course I didn’t like was the mile up through Chestnut St. SO. MANY. PEOPLE. I couldn’t keep a steady pace.

ah that was my favorite. the crowd was the best there.

I liked the cheering, but they pushed off the sidewalk and it made the street so narrow it was hard to pass anyone that was walk/running. RNR Philly might be a good one for you if you like everything super flat. The only hill is that same one you come up to the art museum at the end, but the finish is right THERE instead of another 0.3 miles away.

Love that picture of you and Moose, so cute! And I totally agree, relaxing is exactly what weekends are for!! I use the same bedding all year around, which is good because I’m always hot and it keeps me cool at night. I really took relaxing to the max this weekend, and lounged all day watching tv. It was just one of those weekends where I did a lot of thinking and relaxing 🙂

🙂 love relaxing weekends. naps are the best.
