Weekend Recap (11/22- 11/25)

This weekend recap is a bit longer than most, considering that the weekend was actually from Thursday to Sunday!  There’s a lot to cover so let’s get right into it.

Thursday

Thursday was Thanksgiving and Bry and I braved the cold weather and went to the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade.  We went last year and had a great time, so we’ve made it a tradition to go.

After the parade was over, we went to Bryan’s parents’ house for Thanksgiving dinner.  Everything was DELICIOUS!  Since you all know that I don’t eat meat (but eat seafood), Bryan’s mom made me crab cakes.  We had left overs which I devoured Sunday for dinner!

Friday

Bryan was happy that I didn’t want to go to the mall for Black Friday.  I had no desire to deal with crazy crowds, so we stayed home, napped, and relaxed in front of the TV.  It was a perfect day to recover from Thanksgiving.

Saturday

Bryan went out with his dad on Saturday afternoon, so I made appointments to tour a few apartments.  Four to be exact!  There were a lot of pluses and minuses with each location, so when I got home I made an Excel spreadsheet outlining all of the details.

When Bryan got home, I was in the mood for sushi so I took us out for a quick sushi dinner at a local Japanese restaurant.  Everything was so good!  I had a Shrimp Tempura Roll while Bryan was more adventurous and chose the Eel Roll.

Not the best photo, but you get the idea.

Sunday

On Sunday, I took Bryan to tour the top two apartment complexes I saw from Saturday.  Good news… we agreed on one!  We put a down payment on an apartment and we move April 1st when our current lease is over.  I am beyond excited to have more living space and a gas stove!  We currently have an electric stove and the grates always seem to pop out.

After touring the apartments, we had breakfast at one of our favorite German restaurants.  It has the best food with the nicest staff, and it’s really affordable.
