Weekend Recap (3/15- 3/16)

Good morning readers.  Phew, I am exhausted today.  I didn’t get as much sleep as needed this weekend, so I feel a bit off this morning.  But, nothing that a little caffeine can’t fix.  I hope to get to bed at a normal time this week and catch up on some ZZZs.

On Saturday morning, the weather was perfect so Bryan and I had breakfast and drove over to Valley Forge Park.  Apparently a lot of other people had the same idea because the park was crowded!  We parked the car and went on a short walk down to the arch and then back again.

After leaving the park, we picked up iced coffees at Dunkin Donuts, which is a necessity on a warm day.  We watched Despicable Me 2 while eating lunch and then caught up on some TV shows (i.e. my favorite show, Shark Tank).

The big surprise on Saturday was Bryan’s bachelor party!  His best man lives in Atlanta, so I knew for a few weeks that he was flying in this weekend.  It was hard to keep it a secret from Bryan because nothing gets past him, from this time I was able to keep it hush hush.

Around 3:30 on Saturday, his groomsmen started arriving and by 4:15 they were off to a fun overnight trip to Center City, Philly.

A little after the guys left, my sister came over to keep me company.  We did what most girls do when they are bored – go to the mall!  My sister was looking for a dress to wear to my bridal shower and I went so I could try on a dress I saw online for my bachelorette party.  Unfortunately the dress I was looking for isn’t sold in stores anymore, so I had to order it online.  My sister didn’t find anything either.  It was an unsuccessful shopping trip for both of us, but at least we had a nice time.

When we came back to my apartment, I introduced her to one of my other favorite shows, Rich Kids of Beverly Hills.  It’s a trashy reality show about a group of mid 20-somethings who have more money than most people have in their entire lifetimes.

I didn’t sleep much on Saturday night, which wasn’t a surprise because I never do when Bryan is gone.  I went to bed around 3AM and woke up at 7AM.  That’s not enough sleep for me at all!  At 7, I watched more TV, did a short workout and then got dressed.

I forgot that it was Sunday and most places don’t open until 11AM, so I was at the mall wandering around at 10AM.  Although the stores aren’t technically open, there are dozens of people who just walk around the inside of the mall.  You’d think that since I was at the mall probably 4 times last week, that I wouldn’t have to go on a Sunday.  I had to go yet again so I could pick up my bridesmaids’ gifts.  I couldn’t pick them up while I was with my sister, obviously!

When I got home, Bryan was already home taking a nap.  Of course I joined him and we slept until 4PM.

That was my weekend.
