Weekend Recap (5/10- 5/11)

Good morning!  How was everyone’s weekend?  Mine was pretty great.  I spent the majority of the weekend at my sister-in-law’s house with Bryan, because we were dog-sitting Moose.  We went to her house on Friday night and didn’t get back home until Sunday around noon.  Dog sitting is always fun so we never mind doing it.  I can’t wait until we have our own little pup!

SATURDAY

Moose woke up us pretty early on Saturday morning of course, so Bryan took him for a walk, fed him and then eventually we went out for breakfast.  We went to the local coffee house, which is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast.  The weather was great so we ate outside.  I ordered coffee (of course), omelet with eggs and spinach, potatoes and rye toast.  DELICIOUS!

Once we got back to the house I took Moose outside for a walk around the entire development.  We walked everywhere and I think he enjoyed it. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too chilly.  It wasn’t until we got back to the house when it started thunder storming.

After a long walk outside and then running around indoors with Bryan, the dog was exhausted!  We let him sleep for a little bit while we went to Jo Ann fabrics with my mother-in-law.  We picked out the fabric we wanted to use for barstools.  Bryan’s parents gave us their old barstools for our kitchen because they bought new ones.  The stools are pretty beat up, but I’m excited to take on a project!  The in-laws are going to reupholster the seats and Bryan and I are going to sand and repaint the wood.

It really started storming while we were out, so we hurried back to the house to make sure Moose was doing okay.  I think he slept the entire time we were out!

We spent the rest of Saturday night watching movies.  We watched We are the Millers and The Dark Knight Rises.  We already saw The Dark Knight Rises, but we watched We are the Millers for the first time.  I really enjoyed it!

SUNDAY

After walking Moose two times and feeding him breakfast, we spent the morning with Bryan’s parents for Mother’s Day.  Bryan’s dad made a delicious pancake breakfast.

When we left there, we finally headed home.  It was still really early so I drove over to the J.Crew outlet to see if I could find any good deals.  Nothing really fit correctly, so I left with this skirt for work. It’s a ‘mini’, but on me it’s actually much longer.

Guess what else I did on Sunday?  WENT TO THE POOL!  While I was out shopping, Bryan texted me saying that the pool was finally open.  I rushed home and we walked over to the pool as fast as we could!  It was so nice out on Sunday afternoon, which made it the perfect pool day.  I only dipped my feet in since the water was pretty chilly, but I had time to work on my tan.  Smile

After spending an hour or so at the pool, I came home and cleaned under our kitchen sink.  It was bad!  I hate when I go under the sink to find a cleaning product and everything falls out.  I knew that if I didn’t do it on Sunday, the cabinet would never get cleaned.  Here’s a before shot:

And here’s the after:

Ah, much better.

Since I didn’t do ENOUGH on Sunday already (haha), I drove over to the Gap store.  They really had nothing there, so I left with a t-shirt for Bryan and a cardigan for work.  I hope to get some more spring/summer clothes shopping done this week and next.

I was so excited when I saw the picture you posted of Moose on Instagram! He’s just too cute!! The last fun thing I purchased was a coral-y pink tank, one of my favorite colors! And now I’m looking for a maxi and maybe a crop tank haha we will see though.
