Happy Tuesday!  This weekend was pretty good.  I had a lot of time to just relax, which is always needed.  Let’s get started with my Weekend Recap.

Saturday

On Saturday, Bryan and I ran a few errands, but for the most part was able to relax and watch TV until dinner time.  Leslee had a BBQ at her house, so we went over there for some yard games and delicious food.

We had soft pretzels, homemade guacamole, shrimp/veggie and sausage/veggie skewers, tomato basil mozzarella, and tater tots!

Everything was super delicious.  I absolutely loved having Riesling in a mason jar with fruit.  It tasted almost like a white sangria – perfect!  Bryan and Leslee’s bf had various types of beer with really random names.

After having dinner, we played some yard games for a while.  Eventually it got really humid, so we moved the party inside, turned on music and played Apples to Apples.  By the time 11:00PM or so rolled around, I was exhausted.

Sunday

On Sunday, Bryan and I drove down to Beach Haven, NJ for the Tommy Emmanuel concert.  At first I wasn’t sure if I could get into it, but it ended up being really cool.  He’s so talented!  My favorite part of the show was when he did a bunch of Beetles covers.

The weather was perfect, so we could have walked to the beach, but by the time the show was over all we wanted to do was drive home and eat.  Since the ride down to the concert was at least 2 hours, we knew we’d be in the car for a while.

Unfortunately I took zero photos on Sunday.  Oops.

Monday

Bryan’s friend had work on Monday early morning until 4AM, so he crashed at our house instead of driving over an hour to go back to his house.  Little did I know that I would be wide awake, so I joined them for a random 5AM breakfast at a local diner.

After eating a light breakfast, I came back home and went back to bed until almost 11:30AM!  I haven’t slept until that time since college!  I definitely needed it though.  We eventually made our way over to Bryan’s parent’s house to eat some Jules’ pizza and watch Admission.  If you haven’t seen Admission, I highly recommend it.  It’s hilarious and has Paul Rudd in it – what could be better?

In other movie news, I’m sure you heard by now but Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy is playing the lead in Fifty Shades of Grey!  I can’t wait to see this now.  It’s going to be one of those movies that I will spend the money to see in theaters.  Charlie Hunnam blown up on a massive theater screen… I think so!

Operation Bride

I took a few days off from working out, but my Operation Bride is back in full swing this week.  Lots of arm and leg exercises on the agenda.  I’ll recap you later this week with my workouts.
