What’s in My Grocery Bag

I would normally do a Friday Favorites post today, because it’s of course FRIDAY but instead I want to do a food post.  I can’t even remember the last time I did one of those.  Now that I’m done , I have a lot more flexibility on topics I feel like writing about!

I haven’t had many nights to my self this week, so when I came home from work yesterday I was excited to have time to do whatever I wanted.  So what did I choose to do?  I went food shopping!  For most people, food shopping is a chore but I enjoy it!

I went to my two favorite grocery stores:  Whole Foods and Trader Joes!

Are you wondering what I put into my cart? Here’s a look at the goodies I came home with from Trader Joes:

I didn’t get too many items from Whole Foods, because at this point I was tired and just wanted to get home.  I just want to note here that I am not a nutritionist nor a medical doctor.  The views I express are mine alone and shouldn’t be taken as medical advice.

Overall I did really well! I only spent about $40 and came home with some great additions for meals this weekend and into next week.  I’ve been feeling REALLY uninspired when it comes to food recently.  Lunches have been PB & J’s and dinners have been anything I can throw together in less than 5 minutes, because I am starving from not eating a filling lunch.  I’m happy to be inspired to make more interesting meals.

Have a great weekend, every one.  I’ll talk to you all again on Monday, but remember to follow me on , Twitter, and Instagram for daily updates!

Dark chocolate cranberries sound yummy! I actually get most of my shelf-stable foods at Target.

I love Target for their groceries! I always forget how affordable they are.

Trader Joes is actually really affordable. Much cheaper than Whole Foods, in my opinion./

Those trader joes butternut squash raviolis are SO good! Yum, enjoy girl!

I had them for lunch today. I love them cold.

Costco, Loblaws and Metro!

Fave yogurt is Liberté GY 🙂

Costco is pretty great too. I prefer Sam’s Club though
