Training?

Hey peeps,
So I'm not sure if this is a definite idea of mine yet, but I've been thinking a lot about getting back into running.  I've never been a "runner".  I've been a dancer my entire life, and was told millions of times that I could injure my knees if I ran a lot.  But, now that I have nothing else to do fitness-wise, I've decided (or so it's a thought right now) to get into running.  Not sure if I'll be training for a marathon, because as of now I have zero stamina.  I'm trying to find a basic running guide for someone who is just starting... does anyone know of any? Also,  I am going to start doing the 100 workout.

So does anyone have any tips/ideas/comments??

Eat Pray Love

So right now, on my Friday off, I am watching probably one of the best movies I've seen in a while: Eat Pray Love. Although I've heard this movie was horrible compared to the book, I've never read the book, and I'm actually really enjoying this movie. Maybe it's a good thing I haven't read the book yet. The movie is really a great story about a woman named Liz who gets divorced and decides to drop everything and travel around the world for a year, in order to find herself. Such a great story, and very inspirational. The movie is making me want to travel, eat good food, and share great memories.

"Do not look at the world through your head; look at it through your heart"

I found this picture of a George Eliot quote and it reminded me of the movie
so far. It really is never too late to be who you want to be.

Nude

Top Shop $80 // Thread Social $650 // Halston Heritage $502

Loving nudes and whites recently. I've actually told myself I am not buying anything dark until September. I own so many things in black, it's not even funny. I need to start lightening up my wardrobe, especially since it's getting nicer outside.

Rainy week.

Yes, I know that opening an umbrella in the house is bad luck. But, luckily it wasn't my umbrella. Someone left it open in our house. Those Hunter boots however, are mine... and are probably one of my favorite Christmas presents last year. They made it through rain, snow, sleet, everything. I particularly love how high they come up on my leg- they hit just about at my knee. PERFECT.

Do you all have a pair of Hunter boots?

4 products I use for pamper days

Clinique Mild Facial Soap // Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque //
Aveeno Shave Gel // DKNY Be Delicious Body Lotion

Usually I dedicate my Thursday nights as my "me" nights. I like to pamper myself with my favorite beauty products.  Listed above are some of my favorites. The Dermalogica masque is probably my favorite masque that I've ever tried. It just has such a cooling effect. Using specific products only once a week makes that day so much more special, even if it's just something as simple as beauty products.

What are some of the things you do to pamper yourselves?

Stella Collections

This necklace c/o Stella Collections is gorgeous (Photo from Stella Collections). I wore it this weekend with a black tunic, and today with a white and black dress from Express. You can purchase this necklace by clicking here.  For $32 dollars, you really can't pass this up. Also, by being Simply Nicole readers, you get a 15% off coupon code by typing NICOLE when you check out. The stone necklace is so unique. None of your friends will have this! I've gotten so many compliments already on it. It's a blue lace agate stone that represents tranquility, calmness & centeredness. It's on a 22 inch sterling silver chain.

You will definitely see this necklace pop up in many more photos to come. But I really do advise you all to go check out the website, & take advantage of your 15% off.

Perfect striped tunic

This top is the perfect striped tunic (c/o Club Couture), in my opinion. You can pair this top with leggings, or tucked in jeans for a more put together look. This top which you can buy here. It does come with a belt (as you can see in the store photo), but I think that it looks just as good without it. The sizing runs a bit large. The size I purchased was small, but I kind of wish they sold an extra small. However, the baggier look is more relaxed.

What is your favorite striped top?

Snowy friday!?

Happy April Fools day everyone. Today I woke up to snow. I don't think it's going to stick to the ground, but it's definitely coming down fast. Nothing to make this morning better than coffee & Adele. Seriously, does any one else absolutely love her album? She is brilliant.

This weekend is the first weekend in a long time, that I don't have a big assignment due on Monday. I am excited! My plans for today include: getting a renewed photo-id, maybe the mall, something fun tonight? Who knows. Happy Friday to all. Hopefully you all stay safe & warm today if you're getting some crappy weather.

Tomorrow: post with an interview from a very special blogger.
