Oh man, oh man. Itâs time for another “Lately” post. If youâre new around here, my “Lately” posts are when I just give you guys a quick update on my life. Whatâs going on, where Iâm going, what Iâm doing, etc. {You can find other Lately posts here}.
Grab an iced coffee and keep reading.
1. Moving?!
For the past few months, weâve been working out details with our apartment complex to move into a newly renovated unit. It hasnât been the easiest process, but Iâm excited because yesterday I received an email from our management saying that the larger units are on sale this week. Well, of course I had to text Bryan right away and tell him! We were able to get a tour last night and everything seems to be great. We havenât signed the lease just yet, but it seems VERY promising. Once itâs all set in stone, Iâll be sure to share with you more details. Maybe Iâll do an empty apartment tour before we move in our furniture. Would that be something youâd be interested in seeing? Let me know in the comments!
2. Vacationing in Rehoboth Beach
In mid-July, our friends are getting married in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Iâm so excited, because Bryan and I are making a mini-vacation of it. If youâve never been to Rehoboth, you need to go! Think quaint little beach town with little shops and restaurants. Itâs not NEARLY as crazy as Wildwood or Ocean City.
But with the wedding coming up, WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR?! A few weeks ago, I did a full On My Radar post highlighting the dresses that I had my eye on. Youâd think I would have been shopping by now. Right? Nope. Ugh, I hate being late to the game on this, but I havenât even begun to try on dresses. Every weekend has been so busy, but I need to make this a priority! I donât want to wait until the week of to finally get around to shopping. Unfortunately, some of the dresses in that post are no longer available, so Iâm back to square one in a sense. UGH. Wish me luck, because Iâll be online shopping this weekend.
3. Baking Up a Storm
Iâve been literally baking so often lately. Last weekend, I made lemon cookies for my father-in-law, and they turned out so great that I offered to make them again tonight for Bryanâs work party. ANDDD, Iâm also making another batch on Saturday for my dad as a late Fatherâs Day present. I followed my all time favorite cookie recipe from Martha Stewart. OMG you guys. SO YUMMY. If you decide to make them, donât go light on the lemon zest or lemon juice. The more the better!
4. Watching LOTS of TV & Reading LOTS of Books
After work, Iâve been so tired. The only thing I feel like doing is watching TV and reading. Right now, weâre watching Orange is the New Black {no spoilers!}, MasterChef and The Bachelorette. Side note, who is your favorite on The Bachelorette? Iâm personally a big fan of Derek, but I donât necessarily think him and Jojo have a connection. Sheâs definitely into Luke and Jordan. Big Brother comes back on soon, and that show is awesome! Please tell me that weâre not the only family who watches Big Brother.
In terms of books, I feel like Iâve been flying through them lately. Bryan bought me a Kindle Paperwhite for my birthday last year, and I finally feel like Iâm getting use out of it. I went months without using it, because I somehow ended up getting a lot of paper books. But now, Iâm ABSOLUTELY obsessed with the Kindle. I bring it with me everywhere. I just finished When Iâm Gone {HIGHLY recommend!!} and am currently reading The Good Girl and When Breath Becomes Air.
Ok so thatâs what been going on with me lately.
You can always follow me on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook to see updates as well!

I need to find a dress for the wedding too!!
Also watching OITNB and the bachelorette. I really like James but I donât think heâs one of her top.l favorites. I also like Luke.
Letâs go shopping together!! And yeah, I donât think she likes James very much. More of like a friend I think.

Me too! I didnât watch the second episode from this week yet. Itâs on my DVR!
I love Rehobeth Beach! Itâs so nice and relaxing out there, and I love hitting up the outlets too with no sales tax. Iâm trying to take a mini vacation at some point this summer as well, or at least make a day trip out of it. Iâm also watching OITNB but Iâm trying to shop myself from binge watching it all so quickly!!
ð Canât wait to see how OITNB ends!
