Oh man, oh man. Itās time for another āLatelyā post. If youāre new around here, my āLatelyāĀ posts are when I just give you guys a quick update on my life. Whatās going on, where Iām going, what Iām doing, etc. {You can find other Lately posts here}.Ā
Grab an iced coffee and keep reading.Ā
1. Moving?!
For the past few months, weāve been working out details with our apartment complex to move into a newly renovated unit. It hasnāt been the easiest process, but Iām excited because yesterday I received an email from our management saying that the larger units are on sale this week. Well, of course I had to text Bryan right away and tell him! We were able to get a tour last night and everything seems to be great. We havenāt signed the lease just yet, but it seems VERY promising. Once itās all set in stone, Iāll be sure to share with you more details. Maybe Iāll do an empty apartment tour before we move in our furniture. Would that be something youād be interested in seeing? Let me know in the comments!
2. Vacationing in Rehoboth Beach
In mid-July, our friends are getting married in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Iām so excited, because Bryan and I are making a mini-vacation of it. If youāve never been to Rehoboth, you need to go! Think quaint little beach town with little shops and restaurants. Itās not NEARLY as crazy as Wildwood or Ocean City.
But with the wedding coming up, WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR?! A few weeks ago, I did a full On My Radar post highlighting the dresses that I had my eye on. Youād think I would have been shopping by now. Right? Nope. Ugh, I hate being late to the game on this, but I havenāt even begun to try on dresses. Every weekend has been so busy, but I need to make this a priority! I donāt want to wait until the week of to finally get around to shopping. Unfortunately, some of the dresses in that post are no longer available, so Iām back to square one in a sense. UGH. Wish me luck, because Iāll be online shopping this weekend.Ā
3. Baking Up a Storm
Iāve been literally baking so often lately. Last weekend, I made lemon cookies for my father-in-law, and they turned out so great that I offered to make them again tonight for Bryanās work party. ANDDD, Iām also making another batchĀ on Saturday for my dad asĀ a late Fatherās Day present. I followed my all time favorite cookie recipe from Martha Stewart. OMG you guys. SO YUMMY.Ā If you decide to make them, donāt go light on the lemon zest or lemon juice. The more the better!Ā
4. Watching LOTS of TV & Reading LOTS of Books
After work, Iāve been so tired. The only thing I feel like doing is watching TV and reading.Ā Right now, weāre watching Orange is the New Black {no spoilers!}, MasterChef and The Bachelorette. Side note, who is your favorite on The Bachelorette? Iām personally a big fan of Derek, but I donāt necessarily think him and Jojo have a connection. Sheās definitely into Luke and Jordan. Big Brother comes back on soon, and that show is awesome! Please tell me that weāre not the only family who watches Big Brother. Ā
In terms of books, I feel like Iāve been flying through them lately. Bryan bought me a Kindle Paperwhite for my birthday last year, and I finally feel like Iām getting use out of it. I went months without using it, because I somehow ended up getting a lot of paper books. But now, Iām ABSOLUTELY obsessed with the Kindle. I bring it with me everywhere. I just finished When Iām GoneĀ {HIGHLY recommend!!}Ā and am currently readingĀ The Good GirlĀ andĀ When Breath Becomes Air.Ā
Ok so thatās what been going on with me lately.

I need to find a dress for the wedding too!!
Also watching OITNB and the bachelorette. I really like James but I donāt think heās one of her top.l favorites. I also like Luke.
Letās go shopping together!! And yeah, I donāt think she likes James very much. More of like a friend I think.

Me too! I didnāt watch the second episode from this week yet. Itās on my DVR!
I love Rehobeth Beach! Itās so nice and relaxing out there, and I love hitting up the outlets too with no sales tax. Iām trying to take a mini vacation at some point this summer as well, or at least make a day trip out of it. Iām also watching OITNB but Iām trying to shop myself from binge watching it all so quickly!!
š Canāt wait to see how OITNB ends!
