Trader Joes Haul

August 21, 2013 | 10 Comments Categories: Food

The last time I did a What’s In My Grocery Bag post was last November.  That was a long time ago!  This time it’s solely items from Trader Joe’s and most of the stuff I bought I haven’t tried yet.  Let’s get started!

[Trader Joe’s Gone Bananas – chocolate covered banana pieces // Mint plant – the pot is from another store // Ready to Bake Pizza Dough // Butternut Squash Triangoli – a favorite of mine! // Shredded Mozzarella Cheese]

[Navel Oranges // Bag of Mixed Potatoes // Bananas // Organic Broccoli Slaw]

[Organic Soft White Bread // Coconut Cranberry Granola // Spicy Black Bean Dip // Crunchy Cookie Butter // Pizza Sauce]

Items I’ve tried so far:

  • Gone Bananas – SO delicious. Bryan has to remind me that I don’t need to take a piece every time I open the freezer.  They are super addicting.  I even joked that I was going to buy 10 boxes next time we go to Trader Joe’s.  I was only sort of kidding.
  • Butternut Squash Triangoli – This is a favorite of mine.  Every time I go to Trader Joe’s I buy at least two packages of these.  I keep one in the fridge and one in the freezer.  I prefer to e
  • at them cold, but they are also pretty delicious warmed up.
  • Navel Oranges – Not much to say about these.  They taste like oranges.
  • Bananas – Again, they taste like bananas.
  • Coconut Cranberry Granola – I only had a bite of this when Bryan had it in milk a few nights ago.  It’s definitely yummy but very sweet!  Perfect for a night time snack.
  • Spicy Black Bean Dip – Yep, this stuff is SPICY!  I love spicy foods, so I really enjoy this.  It was perfect on the homemade tortilla chips I made. However, if heat isn’t your friend, I’d pass on this.
  • Crunchy Cookie Butter – This is heavenly.  It’s made from crushed up gingerbread cookies and tastes amazing on hard salted pretzels.  I’ve never had anything like it.  I suspect that the jar will be gone in a week or so.

That cookie butter sounds dangerous. I like to toss a handful of broccoli straw into my omelet or on my salad.

Since we moved, TJs is the closest grocery store to us- so we’ve been there a lot in the last few weeks! I love the steamed lentils and the double roasted salsa, and I can’t seem to leave without picking up some organic popcorn and dark chocolate. :)

Yum! Multiple items there look delicious. I love there cookie butter, probably a little too much hahaha, they make great “peanut butter” cookies. I saw the “Gone Bananas” there this summer, I thought they were a new thing, I guess not haha. Didn’t try them, but now I might have to!

GAH! We don’t have TJs in Canada so whenever I cross the border I am first in line at the closest one!

I don’t typically shop at Trader Joe’s, I do have to say though, I think I am the only one that doesn’t like cookie butter. My favorite is the Jo-Jo’s at holiday time :)

I have yet to try the crunchy cookie butter! I love the regular though, so I’m sure I’d gobble it up!

I purchased the Coconut Cranberry Granola, and it’s amazing. I am just not sure if it is Gluten Free. It only states “Contains coconut” and I read mixed reviews on “Whole rolled oats.” Anyone know if it is or is not?
