Weekend Recap

This weekend was a pretty good one.  I didn’t have to wake up early for anything and could sleep in until whenever I pleased.  Friday after work, Bry and I drove down to Atlantic City to see a comedy show at the Borgata.  We had free tickets, so we thought it might be fun to head down for a few hours.  Little did we know that driving down to AC at 5:45 was a terrible idea.  It took us probably an hour to get into Philly– this would normally take only 25-30 minutes tops.   We got to AC around 8:20, and rushed over to the Music Box to pick up our tickets for the 9:00 show.

On Saturday, after picking up my prescription at CVS, grocery shopping and getting Shelly [my car] washed, I sat down to a nice snack of hummus + veggies + matzo crackers.  I also stopped at Whole Foods and picked up some GORGEOUS peonies [my favorite flowers], and painted my nails to make my day a little bit better.  For dinner, we made shrimp jambalaya.  Unfortunately although it was the “mild” version, it was still a bit too spicy for Bryan.

On Sunday, Bry and I went to visit his parents and go to dinner at Bonefish Grill.  His parents have a deck [which we don’t have] so it was nice to drink a beer, snack on some cheese and crackers, and just enjoy the wonderful weather we were having.

I fully enjoyed this weekend and can’t wait for this amazing weather to continue!

What did you do this weekend?

love the flowers and the shrimp looks good! what color is your nail polish?

It’s an unnamed color from Sally Girl- the little bottles from Sally’s Beauty Supply store.

The flowers are so pretty!

Saturday I cleaned & Sunday I hosted a brunch for my family. Then, in the evening, my husband & I had dinner with his family. I wish I would have had a little more time to just stay put & relax!

Thanks Erica! I love calm weekends! Haven’t had one of those in a while.
